Microsoft Users Toolkit

The Microsoft Users toolkit connects Arcade to the Microsoft Graph API, enabling LLMs to query user profiles and organizational hierarchy within a Microsoft 365 tenant.

Capabilities

  • Profile lookup — Retrieve profile data (name, email, job title, department, office location, tenant domain) for the authenticated user or one/many other users identified by email, UPN, or user ID; single and batch Graph API calls are chosen automatically.
  • Organizational hierarchy — Traverse the org chart by fetching a user's direct manager or their direct reports (returned as paginated lists of users and organizational contacts).
  • Self-identification — Obtain the current authenticated user's own profile in a single call, useful for session context or agent bootstrapping.

Note: All tools require a Microsoft 365 work or school account. Personal Microsoft accounts (outlook.com, hotmail.com, live.com) are not supported.

OAuth

This toolkit authenticates via OAuth 2.0 through Arcade's Microsoft provider. See the Arcade Microsoft auth provider docs for setup instructions.
